Mile High Freedom Band To Warm Up Winter

The Mile High Freedom Band is proud to announce its musical antidote to the winter blues,
“Winter Wake-Up!”, a concert of light hearted scores sure to lift your spirits.

Music selections cover a range of concert band standards featuring Poet and Peasant Overture, William Byrd Suite, March of the Belgian Paratroopers, and Pineapple Poll Suite. This performance will also mark the debut of the Mile High Freedom Band’s percussion ensemble.

The band's percussion ensemble will premiere a new composition, Double Helix, by band member Justin Hatcher.  This piece showcases the breadth of percussion instruments, including both melodic instruments like bells, xylophone, chimes, and timpani as well as various non-tonal drums including tom-toms, snare, and parade drums.  

The February 25 concert will be performed at 7:30 pm at the Broomfield Auditorium, 3 Community Park Road, Broomfield, CO 80020. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children.
