The Mile High Freedom Band is proud to announce its FREE spring concert Born and Raised this Way, a celebration of LGBT civil rights at the Ellie Caulkins Studio Loft at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

The concert will reflect a variety of music ranging from significant pieces composed by notable LGBT composers including Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber as well as lighter works saluting icons of the LGBT community such as Cole Porter, Barbara Streisand, Adele and Shirley Bassey.  Pre-concert will feature swing band favorites performed by Freedom Swing.

In honor of the recent passing of domestic partner legislation, the Mile High Freedom band wishes to celebrate this significant milestone in LGBT civil rights, and what better way than through the musical contributions of the LGBT community.
