The Mile High Freedom Band is brewing up Halloween antics once again with this year’s performances of Spooktacular! Spooktacular!
Spooktacular! Spooktacular! is the Mile High Freedom Band’s annual musical cabaret featuring haunting tunes and spell binding shenanigans in celebration of Halloween.
This year’s performances will be on Saturday, October 26 at Kim Robards Dance Theater in Aurora – family friendly matinee at 3:00 pm and adult (21 and over) performance at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for children, $20 for adults and are available at MHFB.org or brownpapertickets.com.
This year’s Spooktacular! Spooktacular features exciting, magical music selections including I Put A Spell on You (as sung by Bette Middler in Hocus Pocus); Defying Gravity (from Wicked); Uranus, the Magician (by Gustav Holst); Gandalf, the Wizard (by Johan de Meij), and familiar excerpts from The Sourcerer’s Apprentice, Disney’s Cinderella, and Into the Woods. Families will likely be familiar with tunes from Tangled, Brave and My Neighbor Totoro.
The Band performs a family friendly matinee at 3:00 pm, and an adult (21 and over) evening performance at 7:30 pm. For both performances, the doors open an hour in advance for the Spooktacular Bizarre Bazaar, which will include costume items for sale, spooky treats and beverages for audience members who want to get in the mood. Audience members are encouraged to dress in costume and join in the fun.
The Mile High Freedom Band is dedicated to providing all-inclusive, family friendly entertainment for the GLBT community and beyond. Spooktacular! Spooktacular! will be conducted by the Artistic Director of the Mile High Freedom Band, Rice Majors, with stage direction and choreography by Shannon McCarthy.
